Founders

Andreas Wittig and Michael Wittig are the founders of bucketAV. Both are AWS and cloud security experts.

In 2009, Andreas and Michael joined the same company as software developers. Three years later, they were looking for a way to deploy their software—an online banking platform—in an agile way. Michael and Andreas got excited about the possibilities in the cloud and the DevOps movement. It's no wonder they ended up migrating the whole infrastructure of Tullius Walden Bank to AWS. This was a first in the finance industry, at least in Germany!

Since 2015, Andreas and Michael have accelerated the cloud journeys of startups, mid-sized companies, and enterprises. They have penned books like Amazon Web Services in Action and Rapid Docker on AWS, update their blog regularly, and contribute to the Open Source community. Besides running a 2-headed consultancy, Andreas and Michael are entrepreneurs building Software-as-a-Service products.

History

bucketAV – Antivirus for Amazon S3 – started as an open-source project in 2015. After five years and 14 releases, the solution to protect your S3 buckets from trojans, viruses, malware improved continuously.

Since 2019, bucketAV is available on the AWS Marketplace. The proprietary version offers advanced features and support. More than 1,000 customers are trusting bucketAV.
